Letter to Unite Scotland from Branch

At the last branch meeting (minutes coming shortly) it was agreed that the branch secretary shall write to the the regional secretary about our lack of funds and asking what will be done about it.

The text of the letter is below.

Dear Mr Raffterty

I am writing to you in my capacity as a branch secretary for 301 St Vincent street branch, to express our dismay and shock that we have not received any funding since we set up our branch in January.

We have taken all the steps to open our bank account and had been advised that payment would then commence on quarterly basis.

However despite being advised by finance that all was in order and that payments would commence in march for the first quarter we are still without funds.

We he been lead to believe this is due to an expenses issue within the finance sector effecting certain company’s however we see no reason why we should be affected in this way.

Please can you apply pressure to have this resolved in a timely manner, as currently we are unable to fund our organising activities and other branch activities.

Yours Sincerely
Stewart Wakelam-Munro
Branch Secretary
301 St Vincent Street Branch

Once the response is reported back to the branch we will post a copy here for all the members to see
